How can I be a better sponsor to build a stronger team?

For me, being a good sponsor means:
# Leading by example - doing what you are encouraging your team to do.
# Being available to them - Listening to their concerns and worries - encouraging them to keep on keeping on. Even if you are feeling down, don't let any of your team members detect that in your communication. Be always positive.
# Being their Motivator - urging and encouraging them on. Acknowledge milestones in their development and may give them gifts but do not become their main benefactor.
# Coaching/Training them. You want them to stand on their own two feet and run their own businesses without relying on you all the time. Train them, teach them the business.

A tip:

Every day, check on the Activities and the VP Ledgers of your DDs and other rising stars.

If you see someone doing well just send them a quick message - email, chat, e-card, whatever.. acknowledging their work and your congratulations. We all like being acknowledged.
If you identify where a member could be doing better, if you deem it prudent to do so, send them a tip e-card encouraging them and making suggestions for the better. If they ignore your suggestions, no problems at all. Its really their call what to do with their business.

How much time should I allow before I should expect to be producing income from SFI?

Allowing something means letting it happen. You are the one in control of what you allow or don't allow.
Your question makes me want to ask questions of my own:

What were your thoughts ahead of this question? What is your plan if you don't make a specific amount of money in a specific time period? Would you think of quitting SFI if you don't make that amount in that time? Would you extend your original estimated time period and continue working towards a specific income amount that you have in mind?

Next, what sort of income amount are you thinking of or asking about?

Are you asking how long it took for others who were already happy with the income they're receiving from SFI? How long it took somebody else depends on the time they had available to work, what they did, and, sometimes, also how much money they invested, on luck in winning things to help them with their SFI business, and on the specific amount they wanted to earn at the end of it all.

You need a plan. How much time you have available each month to work at SFI; what amount you'd like to earn monthly, a list of the things you can do and how much income each action might generate for you, amounts of money you may want to spend to help you, and how long it will take to do all these things. Add up the income each action might generate for you, as well as the hours or days or week or months of the time needing to spent on different things you'll be doing, and then you will have answered your own question.

You are the best person to answer this question. Only you know the answers to some of the things that will contribute towards determining how long it will take you to achieve what you want to.

Follow-ups are crucial to success. What in your follow-up emails have you found to be effective in getting results?

Whether you meet your prospect online or offline, writing a follow-up email is crucial to your success. Following up is about reminding your prospects that you exist. It’s about plugging into a routine drill to keep reminding others of the value proposition you have to offer.

Here are important points that you need to consider when writing follow-up e-mails to be effective in getting results:

* A good way to follow up an unanswered e-mail is by replying to the first one you sent. This will enable you to keep the follow-up short, make the initial context easy for the reader to find and emphasize that they have not responded to you.

* When sending a follow up e-mail on your prospects, they might not have read yet your initial e-mail. When your prospects receive your follow-up e-mails, they might need to dig through their inbox to search the original for context. This will of course require effort and you need to make sure that you make things easier for your prospects to achieve an optimal outcome.

* Schedule your follow-ups. The best way to make sure that you follow-up, is to schedule it during or immediately after you send an e-mail. Mark your calendar or use your calendar planer on your smartphone.

* Keep the time interval. The time interval between the initial e-mail and the follow up really depends upon where you are in the life cycle of a relationship or deal. For an initial e-mail, following up within 4 days or within a week is ideal. It really comes down to a feel thing. You don’t want to be pushy, so space out your follow up e-mails.

* To be effective in your follow-up, don’t forget to add your personal touch. Your prospects will clearly distinguish if you’re just sending a generic message or providing them the right information to easily understand what’s in it for them.

* Always make a reference of your first e-mail/conversation in your follow-up. Highlights the facts that your prospects need to know to make it easier for them to remember.

If you are not good at approaching people face to face, what are some tips to improve in this area?

My tips to overcome the problem of not being good at approaching people face to face would be:
1. Make sure you know your business (or anything you are promoting)

2. Practice what you are going to say in front of a mirror.

3. Record yourself when you are getting better. (this can be audio or video).

3. Practice on friends and family.

4. Accept the fact that you are going to get many rejections.

A lot of people cannot face the rejections that are going to happen, and they often blame themselves, or what they are saying, for getting those rejections. That is why the practice is so important.

You must go out to face your prospects with a positive mindset. You know what you are saying, you believe in the product or business, and you are exited about the business.

If you get negative comments, try to make a positive from them, but know you are going to meet people that do not believe in your business the way that you do.

IF you get a question you do not know the answer to, then be truthful and say "I can't answer that but I will speak to someone who can." Get their telephone number. Find the answer and let them know what the answer is.

Show people you can be relied on as a team leader or confidante. You are offering to help those prospects go forward with their business, so make sure they realize that.

After a few meetings, it will become more natural and you will become more confidant. You may even ask yourself why you haven't been doing it before.  wwwaghisad.honeyifiredtheboss.com

Tailor your Gateway testimonials

Use the included filter on your SFI Testimonial Gateway (http://www.sfi4.com/YOURSFIID/saying) to display just the testimonials from the country you're marketing in. In this way, you can target your efforts to specifically appeal to the group you're trying to reach...and potentially increase the effectiveness of your marketing. Each testimonial on your Gateway also features the name, photo, and country of the author, so your potential affiliates can immediately see that these are real people from their own country with good things to say about SFI.

Just go to your Gateway List, scroll down and access your Testimonial Gateway. Then, select the country you want to use from the dropdown menu on the Gateway, and cut and paste the resulting URL into your ad or marketing copy.
